New Orleans Streetcar Style
One thing no one seems to mention when talking about New Orleans is the street cars. Sure the architecture is amazing, the food is blissfully good, and the drinking culture is full on BUT the streetcars really add to the feel.
In New Orleans due to the ground water being too high subways just weren’t an option, as such streetcars were used instead. Meaning most main boulevards have dedicated center lanes for these beautiful streetcars to transverse with smaller streets merging vehicular and streetcar lanes. It really adds to the feel and energy of New Orleans!
