Sure, it's not 10 times every day. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that even the Whales have to upvote themselves and buy votes and resteems to get their posts on the trending page.
So, if the Witnesses don't do a hard fork to change/limit the current system of allowing up to 10 chances each day to stroke yourself up to the top of the trending page, then there are going to be people like haejin who use the system which has been provided - by the whales - and now they are "punishing" him for maximizing the system which they have put in place.
Rather than punishing people who whales decided to call "abusers," (yet whales use the same exact systems to upvote their own posts) why don't they program a better blockchain??? If blockchain is really so wonderful, powerful, and the savior of the future - like we all want to believe - WHY DON'T THE WITNESSES GIVE US A DEMONSTRATION OF FAIR, "DECENTRALIZATION," AND IMPLIMENT FAIR AND GOOD RULES ON THE STEEMIT BLOCKCHAIN, INSTEAD OF RESORTING TO ECONOMIC ABUSE AND DOWNVOTING TO SHAPE THE CURRENT SYSTEM TO THEIR OWN WILL???
There is no point in creating an engine for wealth creation if it is paired up with an engine for wealth-destruction, which is controlled by a very small percentage of whales??? Is this truly a "decentralized" system? It doesn't seem like it is, to me.
SteemIt is nice - but it's still got problems. Rather than "fixing" the environment via financial violence and abuse (downvoting), why don't the Witnesses put a blockchain in place, with rules, which make the playing field equal for everyone? Or, have they already done this - as well as they can, and now their "true colors" are coming out???
IDK - I don't write code for blockchains. But, if somebody could explain why it's ok for @fyrstikken to upvote and promote his post, under the current rules - but it's not okay for someone else to use the current rules to do the same exact thing - that would be just great!
As far as I can see it: the problem that everybody has with haejin is not how he uses the system.Of course all of us allowed to pay bots and try to maximize our profits.The real problem here is that haejin refuse to give ANYTHING back to the community,not even a single upvote on other's posts.He made tons of money on the platform,but refuses to help anyone to make few bucks,or cents by elevating posts,comments with his votes.This behaviur and level of greed what pissed the community off. I might be wrong though,I'm still learning....
Well, I just cashed-out 28 SBD that came from an upvote by @haejin. OK, he doesn't upvote others very much. But, what gives anybody the "right" to try and dictate how other people allocate their investment profits? Unless, of course, you're talking about the "government."
But, I thought we were all trying to get away from that - yet here are a bunch of people, claiming to be all about "anarchy" and "freedom," trying to tell other people how they think other people "should be" spending their money. It does seem more than a little bit ironic, to me.
The way I see it, @haejin is simply using the current blockchain rules, which have been established by the block producers, and using their own system to make money - which is what I thought was supposed to be the whole point of SteemIt. But, then you have a group of whales and many others who don't like the current rules, and use their SP to destroy what someone else has worked hard to figure out and create. And, that's also allowable, under the same rules. So, in essence, what we have in SteemIt could be called a giant crypto circle-jerk - and if you don't make the right people happy, you're screwed. That doesn't sound to me like a "great opportunity." It sounds more like coercion - sort of like "paying taxes."
The only thing which has become very obvious to me about SteemIt is the fact that despite all of the hype and apparent good will, that sentiment does not seem to extend to someone like @haejin, for whatever reason.
This is all very interesting for me to watch - and I still don't know exactly what to think of all of this yet. Without some way to actually verify identity and enforce a "1 person, 1 account" rule - this whole thing is nothing but a big game. It's still an experiment, and I think it will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.
What about the bank you use for every day transactions? What about stock brockers? What about your goverment. The world is build own making money.
You are citing centralized institutions in comparison of Steemit.Bad examples.And even your bank gives you crumbs in form of interest unlike haejin.I don't care how much he makes until he is a community builder,a team player,but he is not.
Well indeed it is a bad example in a bad context.
Everyone is making money on steemit. One person is building a bot and earning that way. While another is making posts and hoping a whale will upvote him. Then there are people who make 10 posts and upvote themself. I believe that as long as a system allows these kinds of actions anyone who uses them should not be assaulted.
That does not mean i agree with them. But whenever someone assaults someone for not agreeing with there actions they have 2 options. Find a solution to prohibit them from doing so. Or shut up and walk away.
So many people have a gruge againts Haejin for doing what he does. Alot of big players on the steem blockchain. Yet they all complain and the only solutions they have after such a long time is downvoting him. I know solutions take time. But swearing and acting like a dictator is never a solution in my books.
And everyone is free to disagree or agree.
It might be harsh,and I see where you coming from.But don't forget: haejin been asked many times for a long time now to change his behavior and try to help others too,just a little bit! He never cared,why the community should?
Well it is simple. There are people elected by the community to speak for the community. And to speak directly to the devs with ideas and try to find solutions for issues that arise. If they are telling haejin to stop his ways and he does not they should find a permenant solution for the issue don't you agree.
I know it is simple for me to say this but why punish someone for drinking water from a stream when there is no law against it. Why punish someone for killing a rabbit in a forest when there is no law against it.
I am shure these smart people can think of a permanent solution and i believe many have thought of solutions. But why the f* is it not yet implemented.

All these ideas can be circumvented with several accounts. But it will make it way harder.

I agree with you on this. I'm sure the team will come up with a solution after this mess. @steemit is still a beta,infant platform :-)
@haejin pays you @bi5h0p. Not biased at all. lol. I remember when you used to flag him, didn't take more than a few of his sweet upvotes and 10 SBD to turn your cloak.
Hired a spin artist. This just keeps getting better and better. I wouldn't spin for 10 SBD though, fuck that. That's probably the lowest paid spin artist on the planet right now.
