Parody: Recipe: (Vegan) Blueberry 3-layer cake with strawberry frosting.
You shouldn't need to surrender to a highly processed finished food product when you can go vegan instead. This is a great little recipe you can try out at home. When you are being hounded by children to 'make a cake,' this has a preparation time of under 30 minutes. We prefer blueberry cake and strawberry frosting but you can substitute about any fruit flavor into the recipe below, just use appropriate amounts. This recipe does not contain peanuts, peanut oil, milk or animal byproducts of any kind. However, children or adults who are allergic to wheat gluten or specific food dyes should find an alternative recipe that is 'gluten free.'
What you will need
- Utensils
- Rolling pin
- Blueberry cake mix
- Strawberry frosting mix
- Alternative strawberry frosting
(redundancy is good policy with toddlers)
The process
- Start with the blueberry cake and use the
knife to cut the cake layers to appropriate size
- Take a small amount of strawberry frosting
- Use the rolling pin to spread it to desired thickness
- Carefully apply frosting layer
- Use the knife to spread the frosting evenly
You will follow this process outlined above for the final two layers of the cake.
Repeat until you have a three layered cake looking similar to the one below
- Take a larger amount of strawberry frosting
you will need it to cover the sides of the cake.
(notice the green rolling pin? that redundancy thing I spoke about)
- The finishing touches
- Finished product
- Serve with your favorite beverage
- I think she feels cheated out of cake!
Ha! That's adorable :) I didn't know that playdough has gluten in it ....
Haha thank you. Yeah I had no idea it was vegan either. Pretty funny and thank you for the vote.
