"Sugar" is a song recorded by American pop rock band Maroon 5 for their fifth studio album, V (2004). The song was written by Adam Levine, Martin Johnson, Jacob Kasher Hindlin and Mike Posner in collaboration with producers Ammo and Cirkut. It was sent to the contemporary hit radio and is the third single from the album on January 13, 2015. A song's remix, including rapper Nicki Minaj's release in digital download format on March 10 through the iTunes Store. "Sugar" is a disco, funk-pop and soul song that features a variety of instruments including drums, guitar and keyboard.
