Dreaming light, sleeping deep

Last weekend, I made a little “pleasure purchase” that we didn’t really need. But it is better to get it. Over the last few years I have bought two Philip Hugh bulbs and a strip and have been happy with the mood they have created. The strip is in the bedroom and the living room has a lamp with a bulb. But now that the stairs at the top are complete I wanted to add some light to the stairs. Because there is no shaking in the ceiling stains. But it's there until the end of the day when I went to bed, it felt good to get a little light in the middle of the night.

I gave the playlight, which was meant to go behind a TV for gaming. But I think it made a nice, clean little lamp and it can be very slow. It is not the brightest in the world. But it’s not just for reading, it’s just enough light for the environment and everything else.

Since the ceilings are quite low we struggled a bit with lighting in the room. So we’ve got a reduction in most spots that aren’t very romantic. However, we don’t actually use these as most of the time. We only have lamps and are able to adjust the colors. Adding a little warmth to the white color makes a lot of difference in the feel of the house and makes it much more comfortable when we don't use vegetables and blues. Then I use Pinks and Red to change the mood.

The wall paint is a bright gray color but it seems to flex well with all light conditions. We were happy with it and it gives a homely feeling of being stuck between the sharp white of the roof and the off-white of the floor.

I look forward to completing the groundfloor. So we can find a few old lamps from the 60's and bring in modern times with some smart lighting. There are plenty of second hand sites. But I haven't found the perfect one yet. I also hope to look for a ceiling light for the dining table and fit it with a colorful light.
