So last weekend I traveled to Phoenix, Arizona for the first time, basically I wanted to see the desert for the first time ever. Here are a few pics to highlight the journey for those of you curious what the American Southwest can look like.

I expected cacti and guess what? CACTI everywhere!

Being used to just trees everywhere my whole life it was a delightful change to see not trees but cacti to my left and right.

We wanted to do two hikes on this trip, first was to Devil's Bridge out in Sedona!. A natural rock formation that really does look like a bridge, albeit a bridge to nowhere. The views of the valley below stretch far and wide surrounded by red rock mountains.
