What the f*** happened during the Status.im ICO ?

Thanks god, i managed to get through it, in the end. It wasn't easy but i'm not sure if it was a luck or just like the lottery or something, i finally got some SNT by this morning yesterday when i woke up. THANKS GOD !

2 friends of mine and I were trying and trying again to send tokens since the start around 2 pm on tuesday, but it didn't work out until the night and we were trying again until yesterday before closing. The etherum network was completely packed, full and saturated for the last 24 hours !!! Remenber some years ago when it was so easy to get through an ICO like ethereum. This time is over indeed. At least, it meant that the ICO was really successful for status.im, but as you can read on their twitter, lots of people are unsatisfied about what happened during the ICO.

So what the hell happened ?

The Gas limit :

• 200 000 GAS + 50 GWEI max they said ? it was a recommendation from the support, no more than 50 GWEI, more of it and you will be rejected during the transaction. But apparently, lots of people were accepted first, with more than 50 GWEI so it was unfair for the others. The support argued it was the whitelisters with no gas limit, something like the guestlist but i am not sure of that.

• small amount of ETH against heavy amount : my friend tried big amount and were rejected, i put a small one and were first accepted. Satus.im tried to attract as much token holders as they could, so some whales were rejected, which is a good things anyway.

• It was supposed to run 24 hours after reaching 12M : by noon yesterday, the support informed us that the ICO was ended, so it didn't actually run 24 hours as suggested in the whitepapers.

Exept of that anyway, i believe status.im will be great, an interesting friend of steemit and reddit, lets figure out what happened in the future but i think the app will be seating in some great position, as steemit at the moment. Hopefully !
