By now you may have heard the 'quote' from Kobe Bryant about how Lonzo Ball needs to 'get better now' .... Like the evil media always does, that quote was 'out of context' ... Context changes everything. Here is the original quote from the Mamba Goat, Kobe Bryant, who sat down with Lakers TV for 'Connected' ...
"He needs to get better now. Kuzma, better now. Randle, better now. Its like, players, you want that now. We never thought we were gonna win four years from now. We thought really thought'This is our year. Were gonna get this done. Were gonna push, push, push, get better now.' And in the process of having that kind of impatience you develop, right? If you're just patiently going about it, you'll never get there. So its kind of a for players, its kind of a patient impatience."

I loved this interview; even posted about it on Facebook as I was watching. It left me inspired.
How often do we 'wait' and take our time with things? He's right, if we do that we'll never truly reach the destination we want to reach. This is applicable to everything, not just basketball. It's the impatience of things, the mistakes we make along the path of growth, that truly produce greatness in us all.
Our world, our society right now, is filled with far too many people who do not understand this.
I've written about it in a few places - the Participation Trophy mentality that is rampant, in all areas of life and business; Too many of us want greatness without the work required to have it. The quote however, was taken out of context so the media could have a 'story' ....
Kobe with criticism for Lonzo; Says he needs to get Better now.
Apparently Kobe Bryant was not pleased with ESPN for taking his words out of context. It's not the first time ESPN has done Kobe wrong with their coverage of him.
