2 weeks ago I wrote this post, GRIDCOIN forming a CUP & HANDLE? and I said:

Well, I guess that with the current pump of the market mining it could be again profitable...
BOINCing could be as well economically profitable but the most important thing is that you are really working for the mankind development while solving deseases and surpassing current boundaries of science research.

Tech skills not really, just the ability to pick projects which are most compatible with your computer hardware and the common sense to make a fire-proof compute environment. The electricity bill depends on your computer specs & your electricity provider, but yeah it'll contribute to a larger electricity bill.

Where can I trade Gridcoin for dollar? (and use those analysis)
I don't no a platform where you can trade Gridcoin for dollar directly but for example C-CEX (https://c-cex.com) will allow you to trade Gridcoin for Bitcoin and then Bitcoin for dollar.
Bitshares, bittrex, poloniex
These allow trading GRC/BTC and then BTC/USD. I was aiming for the fact that you are doing technical analysis of BTC/USD price, while there are no direct markets for it. Thank you for the section on btc market, I either missed it the first time or you edited.

No but seriously, that is impressive. I am not too familiar with economic models but really like the theories behind it once I get to know them. Could you explain a bit further where the "cup and handle" shape comes from and what the human behaviour behind it is? Why is this rule so correct in this instance?

Firts of all, I am not inviting you to buy anything in order to get profit later :-)... CUP and HANDLE is just one of the most common and profitable patterns in trading. It is used to take decisions in trading but it is not a law and not even a rule. When planing strategy in trading, this kind of patterns are the ones that you try to search in order to buy or to sell but, for sure, there can be other discerniments and possibilities.
I have presented you just one, the one I used, that's all.
If you are further more interested on trading and ''Pattern Recognition'' Technics you can easily search it in the web.
