The Dark Side Of Appeal (Charisma)

So today's blog is going to take 2 different turns.

The 2 turns are going to be completely unrelated, so get ready.

This blog is going to really feel like a 2 in 1 combo regarding charisma.

But it will be useful.

The first half we are going to talk about the Dark Side #1 & for the second half we are going to talk about Dark Side #2.

Dark Side #1

Being charismatic is not a finite goal.

It is something that you chase for life.

Each life experience you tackle leads to unlocking new levels of charisma.

And each level that you unlock, the more flexible you will feel in social interactions.

'That sounds like a good thing Tony..'

It is.

But the dark side is that you are going to spark a lot of jealousy.

Were you ever a loser before?

In elementary, primary or high school?

Don't lie, I know you were.

Did you ever see the person that EVERYONE loved?

And for some strange reason you thought 'What's so great about that guy?'

That's going to be happening more often with you.

Some haters will be easy to spot & others will be sneaky.

The people that are easily agitated by you will typically be very low energy.

They will be agitated by your enthusiasm & how many people fall for you.

The person who is difficult to spot will display covert hostility.

They will smile to your face, but behind your back?

They'll say stuff like:

'Johnny seems fake..... I hate his lovey dovey persona...... He is definitely putting on an act.'

A lot of people (not all) with low energy resent people with high energy.

Now remember, all types of high energy is not great. Ex: Overly talkative, angry, interrupter etc.

But tamed high energy (charisma) is great.

Those who lack it often resent it.

This is part 1 of the Darkness in Charisma.

Charisma will bring more attention to you.

And attention will bring love & hate.

Don't think for a second just because you are charismatic that you have unlocked a cheat code to never be despised.

You will now be able to connect quicker, but you will still spark jealousy along the way.

But lets be real.

Be charismatic & be hated by losers or not be charismatic & be a loser?

I'll let you choose that one.

Dark Side #2

So this is something that I want you to be aware of with other charismatic people.

Understand that just because someone has social presence does not mean that they have integrity.

A lot of charismatic people can also mask being a psychopath.

It was Tim Sermon who was known to have a very attractive personality.

But guess what?

Mofo was a serial killer!!

Which is why you need to be aware.

Just because they are saying all the right things, does not mean that you stop remaining aware of your environment.

People with the attractive personality have a way of pulling you into your world & having you get lost in the moment.

But don't fall for that.

Charismatic people are great with words.

And those who are great with words are great with moving emotions.

Emotions spark actions in others.

But if the person wielding the words has no integrity, then they go from persuading to manipulating.

Sinister, but true.

They are snakes who are higher on the social ladder.

Ever heard of the people who burn bridges to get to the top?

Well, this is the group.

Those are the 2 Dark Sides of Charisma.

A part of this blog post is being honest, not being fake.

In the real world you were never taught about social dynamics.

But in this article we will talk about the good and the bad.

The good brings warm feelings & the bad brings awareness.

Both are needed.

So now that you know what to expect & what to avoid, use that to execute.

1. Expect haters even when you have an attractive personality.

1. Maintain integrity when you unlock the power of the attractive personality & stay woke with people who are good with words but toxic with actions.
