Proverbs 20:9 - Wine Is A Mocker

in HeartChurch4 years ago

Who will boast that he has a pure heart? or who will boldly say that he is pure from sins?

This bible verse has been derived from Brenton Septuagint Translation

If you can take a closer look at Proverbs chapter 20 from verse 8 to 10, and take a bible study you will understand verse 9 better which talks more about how wine is a mocker:

…8 A king who sits on a throne to judge sifts out all evil with his eyes. 9 Who can say, “I have kept my heart pure; I am cleansed from my sin?” 10 Differing weights and unequal measures—both are detestable to the LORD…

The moral lesson of this Bible verse is:

Can any of us really say, "My thoughts are pure, and my sins are gone?"
