Reliving my trip to Grenadine isle Bequia.

There aint anything like the feeling that comes when you push off from a boat and watch land recede from your view....(as least temporarily that is!).

Enthusiasm.

This was my feeling when I boarded a ferry and made a 1 hr journey to Bequia. I was on vacation you see and somehow I wouldn't have felt accomplished unless I had done this. I work on the Port and I see it often; ferries coming or leaving. I'm always wishing that I could just hop on and leave. So I try my best when I do take a vacation to jump a boat and go to at least one of our Grenadine islands.

It was a bit rainy in the morning and I wasn't going to go again but 5 minutes before the boat was to leave the sun rays shined through and gave me hope that it was going to be an ok day. I was only spending 3 hours and I didn't think it would be too bad.

I got there at 9 and walked until I saw The Frangipani Hotel. There was a low key atmosphere there and I felt I liked the vibe. So I turned in and sat down on one of the lounging chairs to get some sun. I needed to even out my tan..(which I didn't succeed at...but we can deal with that another time).

I chilled out there for a little while, had a chicken wrap, enjoyed the beauty in front of me. Green mountains, waves lapping on the shore, coconut trees waving in the breeze and other vacationers coming on going on their little dinghies.

Before I knew it it was time to head back to the main land and face the reality that my time at home was coming to an end.
