Not enough curators!?

in #steem8 years ago (edited)

One problem I am seeing at the moment is there are far more users currently then curators and the problem with this is even if someone posts good quality content, the content may not get up voted simply because the curators aren't interested in the topic. Example if I post a good article in music I could get many upvotes but with out a curator upvoting it, it will continue just to sink down. If people want to be attracted to using Steemit they will want to feel like they can post regardless for a profit or not and have people actually read and reply to their content.

There's just far to many posts now for the amount of curators there are.

Yes, I have a very serious security question. Can get nobody to respond to it. In the StackOverflow model, it would have been answered between 3-5 times in a few minutes.

I think the problem is that Stemians are not using their upvote/downvote correctly. With great steem power comes great responsability, but with low steem power one should use it Very Wisely.

that is def true as well, I still have a bad habit of upvoting every time some one replies to me :/

That's a good point. Perhaps there could be a limit on posting depending on how long you have been a member or how much you have curated. I suppose it would make things more complicated though.
