Apple is a reference point for privacy, a word of ... Huawei!

Huawei's CEO once again praises Apple, especially when it comes to protecting user data, quoting it as a reference point. In an interview with the Financial Times, Ren Zhengfei, the Chinese giant's founder and CEO, said he would not be prepared to provide user data to the Chinese government, just as Apple does not share information that could compromise the user's privacy.

Zhengfei obviously emphasizes that users are the owners of their data and not Huawei: "The information is owned by our clients and is not our property. Carriers must monitor each user, otherwise it would not be feasible to create any calls. And it is the responsibility of the carrier to monitor the data. We, as a device provider, do not monitor any data."

It is not the first time that Huawei's CEO has taken Apple's side: Zhengfei has declared in recent weeks, in the context of the commercial battles between China and the US, that he would oppose if the Chinese government had put forward some sort of retaliation against Apple's activities in China.

Zhengfei then voiced concern about the Trump administration's work: "The Chinese government does not intervene in the technology companies ' operations. I don't understand why the U.S. government is so intruding into their technology companies ' actions that they act like an adopted mom, and if they intrude too much the adopted kid might decide to run away."

The political / commercial brawl that has occurred in latest weeks will weigh up to $30 billion on Huawei's budget, mainly for the US trade ban, leaving them with a net profit of $8 billion.
