Don't Be a Resteeming Bot
Imagine this scenerio. You get a very good comment from a fellow steemian and you decide to follow the person. You want to know more about this person, so you get to his blog, check his profile picture and then you look at his latest post. Oh wait! That's not his post, he just resteemed someone else's post. You scrolled down and nope! That's not his post either. You scroll down even more and more and more and all you see is resteemed posts. Have you ever been in this situation?
I'll tell you what I would do if I was in this situation.
I'll unfollow this person and maybe give a really good reply to his comment. This person is obviously a resteem bot. Unless the resteemed posts were fascinating, in this case I would follow the resteemer and the resteemees.
It's okay to resteem peoples post but when all you do is resteem, it doesn't look good on your blog. It's good for the resteemee because he gets more views but don't overdo it, please! The only post you are permitted to resteem 100% of the time is mine. Lol!
Nevertheless, resteeming a post is very important. Some people have never resteemed a post and it is bad. Resteeming a post is even more important than upvoting because your upvotes may not be worth much but your resteems can make the resteemees post more visible and earn him more rewards.
So the next time you see a really good post like this one please resteem it but don't be a resteem bot. There should be a balance.
This is just my advice from minnow to minnow. Remember that, your account is an extension of yourself. If you are resteeming something, let it be something worthwhile, something that you would have posted yourself.
Thank you for reading. If you agree or disagree, please leave a comment . Please share your opinion on the matter.
Goood
I follow some, for example @crypto-p - He continuously steals others content from youtube, which makes me angry, because he enriches himself for copying others work!
BUT - he is also a good source of information, since he builds up kind of an compilation with his blog.
Hmmmm, this happens mostly to minnows that join steem just to earn.
There should be a balance
great content!
I had it in mind to resteem you BUT I will take your advice and skip you instead. F.Y.I. You did not get this far by your own works, resteems also helped you, among which I also resteemed at some point. But either way like I said I'll pass. Authors have a right to resteem what they wish or feel their followers might like. Also if I visit someone's blog and he/she resteems a lot, I will overlook it if the person has good content and I will check some of the resteems out. Funny thing is I curated your first post through a resteem. How is that for irony?
Bursted!.....You speak my mind!
Resteem helps, it is a very selfless thing to do @tojukaka
Lol
Oga please help my ministry ooo
If i go through my blog u will see that i have resteemed many posts. One of my favorite resteems is this one
Please pardon my lack of sensitiviy.
But isnt there any single iota of truth in what I have written sir?
Added a few more weights to the other side of the story...
I appreciate your comments and contributions
@ehiboss and @steem-lagos
What do you think of the additions i made to the post?
i don't think not resteeming is not a bad thing....but think of one good thing that resteemers might add to the community...they bring a good post to your attention
