I do hope Maduro will go peacefully and that new and fair elections will be held - but I believe there will be a quite bitter-sweet taste to the new regime if it gets initiated due to US intervention. A war will only make matters worse ... far worse.

I don't believe there are any quick fixes to the Venezuelan economy - they will still experience hardship for many years to come, but with a more economically competent leadership at least there should be some light in the end of the tunnel. Getting control (or ridding themselves of) their defunct bolivars currency should be an obvious first step.
