The New Steem is Here
Steem has been transforming lives for a long time with many of its wonderful use cases. A few of which i will be talking about in this write up. I joined steemit about a 2 years ago as i stumbled upon quite a stable currency called sbd during my trading life on bittrex. I read the whitepaper and was further more enthused about the opportunity steemit presented as a way of socialising and further more making rewards from it.
Steem has grown from just a blockchain for rewarding people who want to communicate to a chain where applications can run on and presents avenue of rewarding application users.
Splinterlands: This isnt the first application on steem that i have tried using but it is by far the most inovative and cross chain platform i have encounted on the steem chain. Splinterlands is a game which was launched by @aggroed about a year ago and its name was steemmonsters. Its a card game where owners of the card make card pairs of monsters which fight against each other and earn rewards called DEC in return. I joined recently and i have grown pretty much found of the game. You can join this innovative use of the steem blockchain by navigating to steemmonsters.com and buying your primary set of cards for some few bucks.
Steem-engine: As its name sound, its an engine for steem and unlike any of the other applications, steem-engine forms the new revolution of the steem blockchain. With increasing transaction speeds pers second on the steem blockchain, a developer has managed to allow steem users create tokens and give each token a use case if required. Steem-engine runs on a separate chain and it crosslinks on the main steem chain making use of data stored on the steem chain. In summary, each user can create a token or cryptocurrency without learning all the programming needed. Its an awesome tool and its live and running.
Palnet: It is a product of the steem-engine and scot system. It is by far the current and most active tag used on steem (personal opinion) and in addition, offers the experience of HF21 before it is released. Many of these communities which has been tokenised has been released and its about time you join a community. What do you think about the new steem?
I think all of the developments are great. One of the people who is more knowledgeable about the subject explained to me some of the benefits of using the new front ends and hashtags.
By filtering out much of the spam content that is out there currently they have been able to curate content more easily with #palnet or #steemleo as these work to narrow down posts. Only content that uses their tag shows up on their front end therefore you dont have to wade through useless spammers like on Steemit.
Another good use is that we are creating layers of value on the blockchain by stacking different tokens like PAL/LEO/WEED etc. These increase visibility and profit potential for bloggers.
