Looking Back to Winter Memories...

Villages are the heart of our country. In Bangladesh we have more than 68,000 villages. Most of them are loosing their beauty because of expanding town and also people in the villages are bringing modern technologies for their self convenience. That's why villages are becoming like town this days. But not all are the same. Some are still in pure village shape.

Surma River in Winter Evening

This picture has taken on a winter evening in Sylhet near Badaghat area. There is a bridge on the river and it was very foggy day. Following the day the evening became more foggy. From the photograph you can imagine the situation. The area is a rural area with lots of spices from nature.

The day was very cold day and people stopped working early due to sever coldness and they knew that it's gonna be colder on upcoming evening till next 3-4days. All the fishing and cargo boats were anchored.

Interesting thing was an old man who was going back home but when hi understand that we took his pic became so happy that he wanted us to visit his home for a couple of minutes to have some snacks. But we couldn't just because of shortage of time

The Oldman was a Goldman

I was breezy and suddenly sun came out for a little bit time. That was an amazing evening to enjoy in a village area. Specially where a river is there. I have captured many photos of the river with the nature and life.

After passing some times there the breeze makes the cloud to move aside and the sun came out for a little while which makes the surroundings little bit more dramatic. A passenger boat then just appeared and I took the picture cause sun was reflecting slightly on the water and the boat was passing trough. It was like the boat is tearing a mirror to make its way.

I have some more images of that passenger boat with the contrast of the river. This boat are also using as cargo boat now a days.

One fishing boat was returning home but they were fishing at the same moment. Actually in that area people are mostly depend on fish. They eat fish in their every meal. Sylhet has the most lowest land areas in its district area and just outside of the town. There are a lot of ponds, canals and low land where water get stuck about 9 months and all of them get connect with river and each other during rainy season. That's why fish is highly available in Sylhet.
