Mystique in a Relationship
Being too involved in a relationship will probably destroy it.
Too much involvement in a relationship is a terrible thing.
At the beginning of any relationship, be it of love, friendship, or just mutual appreciation, there is a desire to spend more time with the other. This desire is often so powerful that it leads to the people involved spending too much time with each other.
This leads to a loss of mystique. A sense of mystery is required for anything in life to be interesting. This includes any type of relationship. Not everything need be revealed in a hurry. Some things are best left to be discovered. The discovery of fascinating realities leads to the flowering of a relationship.
Some facets of personality are best left to be discovered by one's partner.
A son who is away from home longs for the presence of his mother. He remembers all the times she has been a nurturer to him. These thoughts of her make his eyes well up with tears. He wants to go back back.
When the same young lad has been at home for months on end without hardly ever venturing out, he has been in more than a few nasty confrontations with mom. He knows how vindictive she can be in a fight. This thought puts him off, and he wonders if this lady was the same person whose very thought once brought tears to his eyes. He wishes he didn't have to face up to this unpleasant moment after such persistent acrimony. He wishes he never had to face upto this reality so harshly. A little mystique would have been good in this case.
Mystique gives our relationships sheen, even if it is only temporary. Without mystique, every relationship would be reduced to a biological or chemical process. There simple wouldn't be any anticipation or zing involved.
I pray there is plenty of mystique and fascination in your relationships!
