The day did not begin well. Someone had left the balcony door open.
Before we new it, the damn things were everywhere.
Breakfast was clearly going to be an issue.
We set out to put things right. At first, the coast was clear.
But then...
I knew then what we had to do. I said to my son, "Son, I know what we have to do. We need to catch them."
"How many, Dad? Just this one? A few more?"
"No, son. We can't stop until this whole thing is finished. We gotta catch em all!"
As I disregarded my son's attempt to correct my grammar, we pressed ahead.
Got one! And another!
And suddenly there he was. The ringleader of the whole damn operation.
We knew we could not catch this one. Negotiations were had. The ringleader thought deeply.
An agreement was reached. The parties were jubilant.
And peace reigned once more.
