Sand castles are a really amazing thing. We usually think of castles as invulnerable fortresses protected against everything outside. Yet a castle of sand is very vulnerable and easily crumbles under as little as a touch.
These castles can teach us something about ourselves, that the beautiful walls we build for ourselves are just fortresses of sand, and all it takes to crumble that shell is a gentle touch. If we learn to let people into our worlds, we no longer need the facade and the beautiful spirit within shines through!
