Echinacea purpurea 'PowWow Wild Berry'

This was shot indoors with one LED light source. For this, the added depth of field works for me.

The light is a bit flat here - perhaps f/22 is a bit much as well

My personal favorite of the bunch as it was shot at f/5.6. I was merrily snapping away at f/11 to f/22, but this one is by far more interesting with very little distracting components in the scene.

The composition for this shot is strong, though the top petal are a bit too close to the top edge. Causing too much tension & should be just fine if cropped down slightly to match the rest of the petals. If you like this image, but it bothers you at the same time that's why.

Lensbong Shots

This lensbong was take from the sight viewer assembly of which there were three pieces of plastic (lenses). This was the middle lens that looks like a domed droplet on a square sheet. I taped it on and was impressed at how close it got... outdoing the 35mm f/3.5 lens from the Canon Sprint as far as magnification is concerned.

Taken using daylight during heavy clouds, the colors are a bit off as I think the camera is optimized for 'daylight'. I used a coffee mug as a stand and shot this on the counter. Given a bit of color correction, this image might be decent though a bit grainy.
**Flowers were harmed in the making of this image.

Sony 90mm version

This interesting sunflower is growing in my compost bin. For some reason, this clump of flowers were facing north and the Western edge petals had already opened up while the others had not. I brought it in and began to shoot a time lapse. The only interesting thing that occurred was that the flower began bending towards the light and I didn't note any further petals opening. Clearly, shooting flower time lapses would require a fixed light source (not the sun) if striving for a long time frame. This flower was the inspiration to pull out my camera today (8.24.16) as I can't recall when I last came upon a flower that was in this state.

These images (minus the two lensbong shots) were shot with a Sony A7r and the Sony E-mount 90mm macro that has a lot of other fancy bits that try to make it seem distinctive and I don't feel like looking it up. Don't just take nature in via your computer or screen, head out and I assure you'll notice something new even when you think you've seen it all.

Love these shots macro has always intrigued me the most.

Stunning work as usual. My fave is the last of the purple ones.

That one has a nice perspective sort of reminds me of Saturn!

Great shots , i am just getting into photography, how did you get every thing in the background black.
