Dispensable - An Original Poem
This is all I get in return
Not even a smile, or thank you
Just a pink slip to burn
Being faithful means nothing in the end
I should've left long ago
Instead I stuck it out, I broke the trend
Just a statistic, a number to you
You promised us a future
You played us like a fool
Standing in this line
Nothing to show for it
Just wasted gas and time
Go back to school, learn a trade
Maybe be a doctor, or lawyer
Buy a mansion, hire a maid
Forget the life of a poor man
Spend my days playing golf
Weekends working on my tan
It was only holding me back
Thank you for letting me go
Forcing me to put my life on track

Doctor may be right. Lawyer - too many of them already.
You may have heard about the one about lawyer under the sea.
Definitely not programmer. The older programmer you are, the more obsolete. The older doctor you are, the more experience.
True, way too many lawyers out there.
