Bitcoin isn't the first digital currency

Digicash and E-gold were created in the 90's. But these coins always had the same problem when it came to double spending and included a third to solve this problem.

What is double spending?

Digital money is nothing more than a computer file. To send to someone just attach and send. But when you send a file to someone, it is not deleted from the computer. That is, you could make multiple payments using the same money.

Bitcoin was the first to break with this paradigm, solving this problem in a decentralized way.
