By the Beach - Poem
Walking by the shore,
A thought struck my mind.
Shoes in hand,
Cool breeze messing the hair,
This thought was the sweetest.
The promise of the beach stroll,
A titillating star in the sky.
A dream never to be fulfilled,
Ever again.
A rushing train,
Keeping a steady rhythm.
Rushing though the forest,
A choice to be made.
The ice cold feeling in the heart,
In a very delightful way.
Well within grasp,
But powerless lies the hand.
Not by lack of desire,
Rather an overdose of fear.
Resigned to fate,
Sighing as he sat down.
Surely not fair,
But what remains to be asked for?
All that was dreamed,
Was a simple dream.
Yet pushed onto a course,
To make the simplest even as a mirage.
Lifeless is what the life is,
Any point in it at all?
No one knows for sure.
