#untalented - Amazing Adjustments That Have Happened To My Life Since I Found Steemit.

Hello fellow Steemians. I'm favour. Before I start, I want to thank @surpassinggoogle for giving me an opportunity to think of all the improvements that Steemit has made to my life in general. It's always good to count your blessings.

Without further ado, let me say that Steemit really has changed me. I was never really a social type. I Avoided most social media because I I'm generally a shy person and I prefer my own space. Besides, the content on there could be horrifying at times.

But when I got to Steemit, like a wise person said, and I quote "come for the money, stay for the community. " this is exactly what happened to me. I found a community of people who I was willing to learn from. People who were not afraid to give their knowledge, time, steem power, mentorship to new Steemians like me. It was just an awesome feeling. I fell in love with the community and I haven't looked back any day. I've never seen so much community love in one place and it sincerely motivates me to extend the love I have to give to others.

I was usually reticent and shy but when I came to Steemit, with time I was able to start expressing myself through commenting on posts and conversing with other steemians. And I've met some really awesome people who inspire me to be better. And I've read some really awesome posts which inspire me to be a bolder and better person.

I was always a bit lackadaisical about cryptocurrency and lots of other things but because of Steemit, I find that I have this desire to learn and know about anything and everything. It's like my horizons have expanded. I've never considered myself an art person but suddenly I see myself drawing things I never thought I could, taking nice pictures just because i want to share with Steemit community. It's totally exciting. Even my younger siblings get excited and always want to join me in drawing. The reach of Steemit has entered into my family😊

Finance wise, I like the fact that Steemit is a community where you get rewarded for your actual efforts. In 2016 and 2017, I got involved in a lot of stuff that, if I knew what I knew Now, I wouldn't have. But Steemit is teaching me to earn what I call "patient and consistent income"
It's really cool. I'm more willing to build a network of people who can help each other grow than to earn cash the hard and fast way.

Steemit has and is still teaching me the art of consistency. I used to write a little here and there. But I was always of the opinion that my writing can only come when it wants to come😒 but so far, I've been able to write stuff some times consistently for a day or in 2days. But I've been able to find something to write about. This is majorly because I feel motivated to do this. It's not a pointless venture and I feel I have original content that will be appreciated by whoever reads it and not copy and paste. This is a major turn around for me.

I've learnt persistence, diversity, openness, oneness, lots of things from Steemit and my goals definitely have expanded in wonderful ways. I could keep going on and on but let me stop here. There are lots of things I've gained from Steemit and I hope to gain more in this 2018.
