Nice to meet you, Steem community! My name is Thomas.
This is my first post here and I will use it for a short introduction.

Currently I am at the beginning of my PhD studies in management accounting and control systems at Aalto University School of Business in Helsinki, Finland. In addition to accounting, I have also studied some finance and strategy also. I have working experience from private equity and financial administration.

My particular intellectual interests lie in organization theory, strategy implementation, economics, entrepreneurship and individual liberty.

Not to give an impression of a person from the old world, lately I have been fascinated by blockchain innovations and the ecosystem around it, including cryptocurrencies. At this point I find that there is a gap to challenge and creatively combine existing theoretical understanding with these new developments. I have already had promising experiences of teaching and translating what this technical innovation means in common sense terms. It is possible that I end up researching and contributing to these interesting themes in both academia and practice.

Therefore, I'm looking for opportunities to apply my experiences and knowledge especially in these areas, to share my views, reflect and learn from others. Steem looks like an optimal channel for finding like-minded people.
