Stubborn skeptics

Can you believe Jesus phenomenal patience?here He is, healing people, performing miracles, and making it super clear to the folks that He is God,the Son. So what does everyone ask?'How long are you going to keep us in suspense-- tell us who you are." Come on people! Once again Jesus has to teach the people that it really doesn't matter if they have all the facts. The only people who are going to believe are the ones that really want to follow God. Following God is a matter of obedience, not human logic. To prove His point, Jesus goes ahead and tells them not once, but twice who He is. And, sure enough, dropping to their knees and crying, "we understand, forgive us," they try to kill Him--not once but twice : "Again the Jews picked up stones"and again they tried to seize him"(Read John 10: 22-42). Sadly, many people today aren't interested in knowing God either. Despite what they say, most really aren't looking looking for proof. If they were really sincere, they could seek God, as Jesus suggested, and find the truth. The facts are available for anyone who's really interested. It isn't a lack of facts that prevents people from receiving Jesus Christ. Today , just as it was back then, the problem is with the human will.
