Learning with Memory Techniques: The Periodic Table of Elements (21-25)

in #steemiteducation9 years ago (edited)
This is an easy way to learn Scandium, Titanium, Vanadium, Chromium and Manganese. Learning with memory techniques is much easier than rote repetition. Especially when the images are already layed out to you in a clear and intuitive way. In this series we will memorize the Periodic Table of Elements by connecting it with the Visual Major System for numbers. We will cover five elements per post with special training images for all elements and numbers.

Elements Legend

Each element comes with a special training image. These contain the element number, a common application, a phonetically similar image for the name and the element symbol. The color of each training image indicates the element category.

21. Scandium

In the Visual Major System 2 = N and 1 = T or D. With that we can create the word NET. The twentyfirst element Scandium sounds similar like Scanner. This element can be used for heavy stadium lights.

You are having a net that you are scanning in all its details with a super bright handheld stadium light.

22. Titanium

In the Visual Major System 2 = N. With that we can create the word ONINON. The twentysecond element Titanium sounds similar like Titanic. One of many uses is in a high quality watch.

You are cutting onions onboard of the Titanic, crying about the tragedy which is about to begin any second now. You are looking on your watch in anticipation between every onion.

23. Vanadium

In the Visual Major System 2 = N and 3 = M. With that we can create the word NEMO and imagine a clownfish. The twentythird element Vanadium sounds like the word van. The element is often used for tools.

Nemo is driving in a van using a bunch of tools to reach the gas and wheel.
Come up with your own story or ask your students to that.

24. Chromium

In the Visual Major System 2 = N and 4 = F or V. With that we can create the word NOVA. The twentyfourth element Chromium sounds like the word chrow. The element is often used in car rims.

25. Manganese

In the Visual Major System 2 = N and 5 = S or Z. With that we can create the word NOSE. We can imagine the nose of a pig for example. The twentyfifth element Manganese sounds like manga. The element is often used for household batteries.
