Thinking about becoming an engineer?...

Have you ever wondered how is college life of an engineering student, or thought whether engineering is really what you would like to study or not? I will give you my thoughts and experiences that I have had so far in college as an engineering student.

I am currently a senior student majoring in civil engineering about to graduate this year. The purpose of this post is to give you encouragement if you would like to study engineering, or you are already studying engineering. If you are a high school student and you are interested in engineering, you have probably already heard that it is hard because of all the math, physics, and calculus that is involved, but in fact, based on my experience, it is not as bad as you might heard. I have to admit that it is challenging but if you are the type of person that likes challenges, has an analytical mindset, and likes math, you won't regret it. Now, if you are currently an engineering student and you are struggling through your classes, I have to tell you something: DON'T GIVE UP! As hard as your classes might be, you are the only one that decides whether you will succeed or not. I think the biggest secret for succeeding though your college education is to have a positive mindset and be self motivated, the rest will come later. Also, what has helped me a lot is to manage my time in an efficient way so you can have enough time to study, do homework, and have fun time for yourself and be with your friends.

I think engineering is a very rewarding career regardless of what field you are interested in, and it will be worth all the hours of study and hard work in your near future as you become a practicing engineer. By the way, I am new to this platform and I'm still learning how to use it, so please feel free to comment this post with any suggestions you might have or topics of interest you want me to post about related to engineering. Please vote positively!
