United Kingdom Authorities Start Lawsuits Against 6 Prominent Cryptocurrency Exchanges Over Delisting of Bitcoin SV (BSV) in 2019
The Competition Appeal Tribunal of the United Kingdom has started lawsuits against 6 prominent crypto exchanges, due to their actions in 2019; in which case they delisted Bitcoin SV (BSV).
The lawsuits, resulting from complainants demanding for compensation of $9 billion for losses due to the potential gains they missed. This lawsuits add to the lawful issues already faced in the cryptocurrency sector.
There was massive delisting of Bitcoin SV in 2019, from prominent crypto exchanges; including Kraken and Binance. No proper reasons were given for this delisting of Bitcoin SV, by these top cryptocurrency exchanges; with Binance expressing that Bitcoin SV did not meet their requirements.
A $12 billion case was ordered in the United Kingdom in 2022 against Kraken, Binance and other cryptocurrency exchanges involved. The complainants stated that investors in Bitcoin SV lost potential profits, as a result of the delisting; demanding for a payment of $9 billion.
