One of the most popular restaurants in Budapest...

There are lots of great restaurants in Budapest and there are even a restaurant in the city with two Michelin starts right now. There is one more restaurant with two Michelin stars in Hungary, but the second is in the city of Tata, not far from the highway between Budapest and Vienna.

Restaurants with Michelin stars are always popular. But, the average tourist cannot afford such food, and to be honest, most people would rather eat traditional food and just eat a lot and have a good time.

And that leads me to the topic of one of the most popular restaurants in Budapest. Do you know it's name? It is Sir Lancelot.

This is a restaurant that is absolutely soaked up in the theme of the Middle Ages and it brings forth a medieval atmosphere like you wouldn't imagine (unless you have been there). Here you sit in a large basement that reminds you of the big halls you have seen in movies. The drinks are brought to you in big cups, and to be honest, the ladies serving you wear clothes that might show a bit more of their breasts than you will see in a normal restaurant. Don't misunderstand, there is nothing sexy about it and nothing out of place, it is just helping bringing forth the medieval atmosphere.

The food is served on giant plates, and while you eat, there are normally sword battles taking place, while you have medieval music from a flute and a guitar in the background (normally by live musicians).

It might not be the best food you will get in Budapest, but it sure is an experience that you will remember for a very, very long time!
