So, if you want to watch PeacockTV abroad, then the natural assumption is to believe that you should connect to a server in the USA in order to get an American IP address. Well, in most cases, that is so and it should work also with SurfsharkVPN. But, not always. This is the trick!
Why doesn't Surfshark give access to PeacockTV when connected to a US server?
When you connect to a US server with PeacockTV you get an American IP address. This is perfect. The only problem is that PeacockTV is often testing, checking, and blocking the IP addresses used by VPN providers with servers in the USA, and that is why you might get blocked as you connect to a Surfshark server in the USA.
But, if you connect to a server outside the USA things will be different. This is because Surfshark has implemented a SmartDNS service within their VPN service. If you are connected to a server in Germany and visit the PeacockTV website, they will automatically change your IP address for that request, giving you a US IP address that will actually WORK with PeacockTV.
But, if you use a US server, you will always run with your US IP address, which might actually be blocked.
I am fully able to watch PeacockTV using SurfsharkVPN outside the USA.

If you want to watch PeacockTV with Surfshark, the best option is actually to connect to a server outside the United States! It might not sound logical, but that is the truth! Give it a try, you will not regret it.
