Gibson's size and athleticism are a perfect fit for what the Gators want to do up front on the defensive side of the ball. They love depth and quickness all along the defensive line and Gibson is the right size at 6'3" and 271 lbs to occupy space in the middle, but still be able to chase down ball-carriers and get up-field if need be. He isn't ranked that highly at just 942, but is still rated as a 3-star recruit. Florida does not have any returning starters at the DT position this season, and Gibson should be able to provide some much-needed depth there once again starting next fall.
