Far, Far Away
In the year 1977 the launch of the probe Voyager 1 was a big deal and everybody hoped that the probe might work for several years and send us some nice data and pictures from our solar system.
No one expected it to become one of the greatest success in space faring history. The probe kept on sending data until today!! She brought us the first beautiful images of Jupiter and Saturn and then headed for deep space. Today she is the only man made object that reached the interstellar space. Out there it is very cold and the little piece of energy that is left in the batteries will last to send further data to earth until 2025. The distance between the probe and the sun is 138 AE, while one AE is roughly 150Mkm.
Probably no man will ever see you again (except star trek will become reality), but you served us well.
Interesting article! Now I follow you.
