Cats Ruining Art Throughout History
There she is, of course, in her favorite pose. Whenever I get the camera out to take pictures of my garden, Sooie the cat manages to get in the shot. Here is a picture of the bridge I built this spring. Sooie likes it, especially when the camera is involved. Here she is, proudly licking her behind.

Thanks Sooie. That's lovely.
I wondered if others had this problem: cats appearing in their pictures without invitation, cleaning themselves. I looked back through the art on the internet, and was not surprised to find this same problem reaching back through art history. The subtle compositions of the masters seem to be sending us a message, or a warning-- there will be cats.

Nothing is Sacred

There we have it, just a few examples of cats ruining art throughout history. I'll go look through some old photos to see if the problem is there too, another post perhaps.
thanks as always for looking, all images for educational purposes about the cat-in-picture problem that the world still faces every day.

I think I hurt myself laughing.
Good! Not the hurt part, but the laughing-- I'm glad you liked my presentation!
That darn cat. Thought this was SO funny, really hit the old chucklebone. Thanks for enlightening us on this feline problem throughout history.
I thought about doing ALL of history, but the response to these few images made me wonder if there was any interest. I'm glad you enjoyed the educational presentation, and now I want to do more!
If you ever figure out the why and wherefore secret of what works on this box, you will be the richest man in history. But then, what fun would THAT be. I think you should do a short series. Cats throughout history. Putting them in all the absurdist spots. If nothing else, I'll vote like a mad dog with a mouse when they come out...
I made a black-and-white copy of her for those old famous photos, I might have to make a sepia tone as well.
Uh oh, sounds like this project may (d)evolve into the world of dds..."let's see, I need 14 different photos of the cat in various positions, so he/she can be in different historical situations 'just right', maybe a jaunty hat on a couple, with and without the collar. For historical accuracy and dating in cat accoutrimon". Just a typical day in Steemit prep. "How about just getting a post OUT."
In all seriousness, I think you're onto something here, and the sepia and BW are a necessity, for photo 'realism'. Can't have a 21st century cat mucking about in the 17th, there WAS no Kodachrome back then. Good luck in all things Historicat.
Damn cats! Great post! ☆☆☆☆☆😎
Always handy when the camera's come out!
Interesting pictures. Those cats :D hahha
Always with the cats!
Cats are innocent and cute :D
Of course they are! And even when guilty, their cuteness can save them. Having 9 lives doesn't hurt either in that case.
hahahaaa!!
