Hey Steemians, I am going to attempt to try and crowdfund a ticket to STEEMFest2 this year! I would die to go to STEEMFest this year for many reasons... Also, I would have to bring an adult with me, so I'd like to bring my dad along. My dad, if you guys didn't know yet, was the first STEEMIAN to get a STEEM tattoo! It would be awesome if he could come with and show everybody his tattoo, hell, by the time of STEEMFest2, I may have a STEEM tattoo myself! I'll make an easier & faster "agreement" with the Steemit community and that "agreement" is when I hit the top 19, I will get a STEEM tattoo rather than number 7. To be totally honest, I am eager to get a STEEM tattoo! I hope it comes sooner than later, but this "agreement" will never be broken. I am a man of my word.

Anyways, let's get into the reasoning of why you should help crowdfund my dad and I tickets to STEEMFest2. The first reason is because I have been a part of the Steemit community since last year, July, to be exact. I have built lots of relationships with all the time I have spent on STEEM, I would stay up for hours working on my blogs, reading & curating blogs, and building relationships! It would be so cool to put faces with names! Another reason, on a personal note, is because it would be my first time out of the country (United States). Another reason why I'd like to go is because I plan to pursue a career in coding and it would be SWEET if I could attend the STEEMFest 24 hour blockchain hackathon! I could meet a lot of coders and it would be a great learning experience!

This years STEEMFest is in Lisbon, Portugal! Here is a brief rundown about Lisbon, from the research I have done. Lisbon is the capital and largest city in Portugal, obviously, they speak Portuguese in Portugal, and Portugal is bordered by Spain. As of 2015, the population of Portugal is 10.5 million. Believe it or not, Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world, and it's the oldest in western Europe! According to google, in November, Lisbon usually see's high temperatures of 63°F, and lows of 52°F. What is there to do in the capital of Portugal? Well, Lisbon is probably best known for its colonialist history, ornate architecture and tradition of Fado music. According to www.travelchannel.com, a couple of the best tourist spots in Lisbon are Torre de Belem, a tower on the river, The Rooftops of Alfama are vibrant red tiled rooftops that are in Alfama, the oldest district in Lisbon. The Santa Justa Elevator offers stunning views of Lisbon and the Tagus River. The Vasco da Gama Tower is Lisbon's tallest building standing at 500 feet! And finally, Cascais is a very wealthy costal town located in Portugal, it's a very trendy vacation spot and there is beaches to the west and lush green mountains to the north!

So, the Hotel package and STEEMFest ticket costs have not been released yet, but I did get the plane ticket costs. The cheapest flight from Chicago, for a ticket for my dad and myself, would cost...

As you can see above, the total cost will be 1,552.86. And yes, this is a hefty price! Since STEEM has been hovering around 1.00 lately, we will say that the plane tickets will cost about 1,552.86 STEEM. All of the money (post rewards) I make from this blog and future STEEMFest blogs will go towards my airfare. And of course, donations would be fantastic. It will mean a lot to me if you Steemians could either upvote this blog and/or donate STEEM to me. I will be very transparent with what happens with the STEEM, obviously, I am not a scammer, lol. But, for now, I hope to crowdfund 1,552.86 STEEM or a bit more if the price of STEEM fluctuates so I can buy my dad and I's airfare, and at a later time, when the hotel package and STEEMFest ticket price comes out, I may need to crowdfund a bit more but hopefully I would have made enough so I won't need to ask for more donations. Any donations will help, I will strive to be the best witness I can be and I will appreciate you for the rest of my life as this is a big deal/trip for me!
