5/25/2017: MLB Showdown - Do We Finally Have A Winner, On The 4th Night Of MLB Showdown?!

Welcome to MLB Showdown! Unfortunately, we still do not have a winner yet! Today, you will need to chose four teams (1 team from each game) as I am covering four baseball games! Please keep in mind that nobody won the past four nights so there is rollover!

Game 1: Texas Rangers @ Boston Red Sox (7:10 PM EST)

The Rangers and Red Sox will conclude their series today, the Red Sox will try hard to win as if they win, they will sweep the Rangers! Last night, Sale didn't live up to the hype. Sale gave up 4 runs and he only threw 6 strikeouts through 7.1 innings. He had an okay outing, but by no means, was it a special outing. But, they still got the victory because the Boston bats were hitting the ball very well! Tonight, Boston will have an even easier Batter vs Pitcher match-up as Nick Martinez, 1-2 with a 4.33 ERA and only 13 strikeouts will take the mound for the Rangers. But keep in mind, Texas has a good Batter vs Pitcher match-up as well, Drew Pomeranz will be pitching for the Red Sox, he is 3-3 with a 4.97 ERA and 45 strikeouts. But, Vegas favors Boston to win as they are a very heavy favorite at -205.

Game 2: San Diego Padres @ New York Mets (7:10 PM EST)

The Padres and Mets will also conclude their series today, but there is no chance for either team to sweep one another. Last night, the Mets barely came out of the game on top, but they did, as they won 6-5. Yangervis Solarte has a great outing for the Padres as he went 2/4 with 3 RBI's, a double, and a walk. Today, the Mets look like the favorite to win as their bats will be going up against a pitcher who is making his MLB Debut today, Dinelson Lamet. For the Mets, they will have their ace pitching, Jacob DeGrom who is 3-1 with a 3.56 ERA and he has a total of 76 strikeouts! According to Vegas, the Mets are the heavy favorite to win tonight as they are -191.

Game 3: Arizona Diamondbacks @ Milwaukee Brewers (8:10 PM EST)

The good ole' Diamondback and Brewers will kick off their four game series tonight. Currently, the Diamondbacks are top 10 in every important stat for baseball. The Diamondbacks are 3rd in Bating Avg., 6th in OBP %, 3rd in Runs Scored, 6th in Homeruns, 2nd in Slugging %, 4th best in ERA, and 3rd best in Batting Avg. Against. While, the Brewers, on the other hand are only top 10 in three important stats, they are 5th in Runs Scored, 3rd in Homeruns hit, and 3rd in Slugging %. Tonight, Robbie Ray will take the mound for the Arizona Diamondback and the red hot Zach Davies will take the mound for the Brewers. According to Vegas, Arizona is the favorite, but by no means, are they the heavy favorite as they are -105 to win.

Game 4: Detroit Tigers @ Houston Astros (8:10 PM EST)

The Tigers and Astros will conclude their series tonight, as well. Houston won game 1, 1-0, Houston won game 2, 6-2, and Detroit won game 3, 6-3. Last night, Bregman, the 3rd baseman on the Astros had one helluva game, it was a must needed one too for him as he is only batting .261, he went 3/4 with 1 RBI, 1 double, and 1 homerun! Unfortunately, his stellar performance was not enough for the Astros to get the victory. Tonight, Detroit's ace who has been red hot lately, Justin Verlander will take the mound for Detroit, his record/era/strikeout total doesn't show how hot he has been lately so I will just leave that out. For the Astros, Mike Fiers will take the mound, he is 1-2 with a 5.14 ERA and 36 strikeouts. According to vegas, the Astros are the favorite to win tonight as they are -120.

The Rules for MLB Showdown

You must upvote the blog to be eligible to win the STEEM prize.

You must chose one team from each game MLB Showdown covers (if there is 5 games covered, you must chose 5 teams from those games, 1 team from each game).

To limit multiple accounts, only participants with a Reputation of 40 or more will qualify to earn the STEEM rewards.

One comment per account, multiple guesses will be disqualified.

Once the first MLB Showdown game goes live, comments that come in after will be disqualified.

The Prize Pool

For this type of game, we will most likely have multiple winners some days and some days we may only have one winner. I will be giving away 50% of the liquid Steem/SBD payout to the winners, and if their is only one winner, they will keep all 50% of the liquid Steem/SBD payout but if their is more than one winner, it will be distributed to those winners, of course, evenly. But, if their is NO WINNER, the STEEM/SBD will be rolled over into the next game.
