Turning lemons into lemonade 🍋
We all have those days, the ones where you have everything planned out, yet it does not go as hoped. My hubby, @von-hamann , is good friends with @bluerthangreen. Being good friends as they are, they decided to go watch Wonderwoman together, since they are both crazy about super hero movies (I am too, I just like marvel instead of DC). Since I did want to go, but didn't want to watch wonderwoman, I offered instead to take @bluerthangreen and @allforthegood 's 3 older kids swimming. I love kids, and thought it would be a good chance to bond with them since I hadn't gotten to previously.
It started out well, we headed to the lake, it was a sunny day, everyone was in a good mood etc. We pull up to the beach... flooded. I had not taken into account all the flooding recently, and the fact that the beach might be closed.
Of course I and the kids were both bummed, we wanted to go swimming! Luckily for us, there was a play area right next to the beach, and a hiking trail. The kids pretty much took it in stride , in the words of the middle one, "I didn't really wanna go swimming anyways", and of course the littlest bluer was just happy to be there.
We hiked the trail and found this awesome boulder for them to climb on :

AND they all wanted buried in the rocks 
At the end of the day we were sweaty, tired, and happy. We got to do a lot of fun things together, and I got to spend some time with some REALLY well bahaved and happy children. Definite all-star parenting by @bluerthangreen and @allforthegood! <3 I hope you enjoyed this post guys !

I loved hiking trails as a kid. I remember our family doing a 7 mile hike in the Scottish mountains. I was the only one loving it, the rest were puffing sweating and crying for the end. Hahaha. They did it for me I expect.
