US Navy granted patent for "craft" that flies using "gravity waves"

in #dtube7 years ago

The craft described in the patent features a cavity wall filled with gas vibrates using powerful electromagnetic waves. This effect makes a vacuum surrounding the craft which allows it to move at hyper speeds far beyond the speed of sound in water and air and space. This effect lessens inertia and uses gravity waves to reduce mass, something that was only discovered in 2016 in the realm of public science.

The speed of sound in water is much greater than the speed of sound in air. And the speed of sound in space = 0, because sound doesn't travel at all in space. So the meaning of this isn't at all clear. Does the speed vary depending on the medium it's traveling through?

Such exotic propulsion systems are amazing to consider though. Something like this, with enough development, could potentially allow for interstellar travel.

there are pressure waves (sound) in space and they move at a speed that's not zero. It is only true that where is no sound that humans can naturally hear in space.

I suppose that's true. Space isn't entirely empty, after all. Although philosophically, does it really count as sound if it cannot be heard? Or should sound be more narrowly defined as pressure waves that fall within an audible frequency and decibel range?

Regardless, the speed of these pressure waves in space will vary according to the degree of vacuum in that region of space, and almost certainly be much slower than the speed in Earth's atmosphere or in water. So clarification on this report is needed.

Until we have replicators I'm not interested lol.. Live long n prosper 🖖

Bob Lazar called it...
Interesting that the Navy is taking the lead on this, right after watching your video I found this article from RT describing that the Navy is developing a protocol for reporting UFO sightings.

https://www.rt.com/usa/457374-ufo-navy-reporting-guidlines/

The sheer number of UFOs swarming around Navy strike groups and other military infrastructure (according to sailors) is what prompted the need for new reporting guidelines.

interesting...

So, the Navy is learning from the UFO's they are seeing and possibly capturing?

now we're entering ufo technology.
