Black Friday chaos maybe asymmetric advertising
If you look at the crowd flow within the environment of stores where the chaos of black Friday takes place, it seems that they are setup for chaos on purpose. If this is the case, then stores would no doubt receive free advertising from social media which have covered the chaos.

This is why I don't go the the mall, walmart, or target unless I have no other option. Never on a shopping holiday.
There should be door security only letting in a certain number of customers at a time. That way the people running for the TV's can get to checkout, and five minutes later, they can already be out of the store allowing for space for the next group of people to find out the TV's are gone. No fighting.
