gov crypto is centralized by definition hence supply of such crypto token can and will be increased by these distinguished officials (irrespective of any supposed 'backing'). Thus leading to a same situation as with bank notes i.e. inflate inflate. In contrast to decentralized BTC which has (very) limited, uncorruptable supply limit. There is no fundamental difference between gov crypto and fiat. It is simply fiat crypto

In your opinion, will Venezuela suffer the same fate as Libya and Iraq? Will there be military intervention? I believe that oil is making some corporations and bankers drool over the potential earnings. Just need to topple yet another government.
If the petro trades freely on crypto exchanges, if the petro can be exchanged for oil (like a futures contract), if the club don't take the guy out, (lots of ifs) the plan could work and give Venezuela the foreign reserves and goods they desperateley need.
Internationally, I don't think anyone would want this garbage.
