Those premium coins can be really nice. The shop I got to used to lump all the 1 ounce coins together which meant I could get some good deals on more premium coins (not like Libertads, but more rare generics and random coins they didn't have a lot of). Now they separated them out into "regular" and "premium." I have to pay an extra $1 each for the premium ones, but that also means that some coins with otherwise might be gone are still there because someone didn't want to pay the extra $1.00. Good for them for knowing how they want to stack, but I like getting those coins when I can. I got a few good scores today that I'm looking forward to showcasing soon.
I have 4 different LCS's that I go to. Some separate silver rounds and coins a lot and some do not. Actually, each takes a different direction and I get deals at each:
So, when I'm on the hunt, I hit each where I'll get at least a silver coin, but I'm really checking out these specific areas where I know I'll get the best deal.
That's so smart. I have it figured out as well, but there are only two, so I know if I'm going for rounds/bars I normally go to the close one. That provides the most entertainment since there is so much variety. The other is my spot if I want Constitutional silver, fractional gold, regular coins (like ASE), and rounds for weight (not design). I've gotten away from just getting rounds for weight since I've been having too much fun paying the extra $0.75 for awesome bars and rounds at the close shop. I have to slow down though. My rate has been unsustainable. Got bills to pay.
