QUALITY CONTENT WORKS? Let's see!
Hi steemit, i really wonder lately quality content really works on Steemit or is this the platform only if you're friends with the powerful writers that suddenly it can make you better in 7 days just for sharing one photo?
I've been really seeing some of the people (especially one of them came to my feed by resteeming) that just started Steemit and for example sharing one photo but because he has some friends here, jumping all over us who's trying to create something by themselves. Of course i don't think this is unfair or something, some people can be lucky, it just makes me think some of us have to really work to find a spot for ourselves, while some can get their spotlight with just introduce yourself posts because they know some people.
For me i've been always a blogger from the beginning, had a blog pages for years so this is doing something i love. Eventually even i don't find a place for myself here, this is what i've been doing always so it wouldn't effect me.
Just realizing actually Steem is a platform where you can really work hard or just be lucky apparently.
This is gonna be a short post. Sorry, next time i'll share one of my elder's photo as a quality content. Oh wait i don't have any. God damn it, another idea is gone.
Well, when I started here in Steemit, I made a couple of publications that went above $ 70 and $ 100, they were of relatively good quality, but then it did not go so well, it got harder, then I published something similar to what I did in those two publications, but they were not as successful, so I reviewed those publications, and I noticed that they had reached those amounts due to a couple of votes nothing more, that's when I understood that the best way to ascend here is by making People with high votes follow me, so they can vote for my content. Quality is important to attract followers, but a lot of the votes are made by bots and delegations.
Yes, good content is rare. This platform does not pay much at all. The whales got in early over 2 years ago. They are ranked in the high 60's and 70's. They have large voting rewards. If you do not attract them, you are lucky to get $0.20 or a $1.00 per post
Seems to me the algorithms for distributing and discovering content needs to be tweaked. If you end up on the "hot" or "trending" pages, you'll definitely get your post seen. Trending posts seem to be there for days. If you get missed, however, the post won't make more than a couple cents. I'm going to keep at it anyway!
