Malaysia Airlines 370

TWA Flight 800

Everybody was thinking it might have been a terrorist bomb or an attack but apparently after investigations it showed us it was just because a short circuit in a wire bundle led to a spark in the fuel area.

The FAA has since mandated changes to reduce sparks from faulty wiring and other sources. And boeing has developed a fuel-inerting system that injects nitrogen gas into fuel tanks to reduce the chance of explosions.

ValuJet Flight 592

Unfornutaly an illegal package of chemical oxygen generators in to cargo area caused a fire and the pilots were unable to land burning plane in time. Because of the carsh 110 people lost their life and FAA forced smoke detectors and fire extinguishers in the cargo holds.
