A question to those who make Steemit happen!

Hello Steemians!
In my short time using steemit, I have been overwhelmed by the amount of great information that is coursing through the veins of steemit! I have become a follower of many great authors and I continue to find more everyday.
So this leads me directly into my question. I am sure that extensive work is required to make changes to a platform like steemit. I am not the most computer savvy person and I don't fully grasp the inner workings but I am always doing my best to learn and will continue to do so.
So what I am wondering is if there would be anyway for the system to sort out the difference of resteems and original works and then place them under 2 tabs. Now I have no idea how anything like this may work but I just thought this seemed like a good idea. I have been trying really hard to follow only people who post quality material (in my eyes) and I have done just that. The problem is I get so much in feed due to resteems and some of the resteems are repeated by other steemians.
By no means am I complaining. It is not that I can not sort through all of them but it does seem like a person could get to a point where just trying to keep up with their feed becomes impossible.
So as I said before, it is just an idea. I have many others as well and I am not sure whether things like this are even worth making a post about. If anyone see's this post and thinks its a good idea, please send it on. If it is a impossible or poor idea please comment below so that I do not use my time pursuing and writing on things that are out of our scope of practice.
As always, if you enjoy my content please follow, comment, upvote and/or reSteemit!!
Peace,
The Last Sage
You may want to direct such an inquiry to @ned who has more contacts with the devs because he is a founder.
Also, I suggest tagging development requests #dev so as to give steemit developers a centralized place to look for such posts.
Hey hey thanks for the great info @timeshiftarts! I will add @ned and will use the tag you suggested. Thanks for the response and feel free to stop by and see whats going on @thelastsage
Peace
