If you have to blame somebody on why am I on Steemit... well this guy is at fault!

the meetup

So I was called late at night by my friend who was hosting a couple of couchsurfers. No big deal. It's his thing. Yet this time it was different. He called me and told me that one of them works on the blockchain!

Bit of a background... Me and my friend are both IT Tech's with a development background and recently we are trying to establish ourselves in the blockchain industry. So it was techlove at the first phonecall.

We decided to meet at 8am. Apparently, this is an early time for couchsurfers... And boom the Steemit Blockchain came up. 10 minutes later I was queuing to create an account and start messing around. I remember I was super agitated because I had to wait until night time for my account to be authorized, yet by that time I had read enough material to jumpstart the world!

A little info about @Martibis is that he is a travel wonder who attended the Steemit meetup in Portugal. The nice part of it is that he hitchhiked all the way to Portugal from Belgium and back!

For the coming days, I bugged him daily to understand and pick his brain as much as possible. There I got to know his steemit project and boy was I in for a treat!
