The Steemit Debate

The Steemit Debate is a weekly educative debate about Steemit that strives to promote deep and critical thinking about Steemit as well as raise awareness about pertinent issues concerning Steemit such as price forecasts, investment, plagiarism, etc.
The principal goal of the debate is to promote an effective understanding of Steemit from a logical perspective, put together actual facts about Steemit, have fun, and share meaningful knowledge that can nurture better Steemians.

How the Steemit Debate will work

Every week, @thegreens will put up a question and Steemians will share their thoughts about the question as comments on the Steemit Debate post. Steemians will be free to make new comments or reply to comments posted by other Steemians in a bid to generate meaningful dialogue around the question. @thegreens will serve as moderator to ensure the discussions/arguements are formal, repectful and educative.
@thegreens will award prizes to the most logical, factual and educative inputs.

The Steemit Debate Rules

1. Respect. The goal of the Steemit Debate is to promote an effective understanding of Steemit from a logical perspective, put together actual facts about Steemit, have fun, and share meaningful knowledge that can nurture better Steemians. As such, Steemians are called upon to respect each other, making sure their inputs are strictly focused on the debate topic. The debate should be generative and constructive and in order to promote respect for one another, Steemians should share their thoughts from the perspective of **"Yes and ..., or No but ..., or I think ..."
   Disrespect of any kind will not be accepted.
2. References to debate points are strongly encouraged. The purpose of the debate is to learn, to share knowledge, to and to gather actual facts about Steemit. To achieve the goal, Steemians are encouraged to make references when necessary.
3. Steemians will participate in the debate by commenting or replying to previous comments.
4. Participants in the debate must upvote and resteem the debate post
5. Tagging Steemians who have more knowledge or understanding about the debate topic is strongly encouraged.
6. The debate is open to the global Steemit community

This is the premiere version of the exercise and more debate rules will be added with time

The Steemit Debate Prizes

@thegreens has 05 Steem for participants of the debate. Participants will be awarded 0.5 to 01 Steem as well as upvotes based on the quality of their input in the debate.

@thegreens is open to any sponsorship or partnership or better ideas to organize this educative talk show.

The first edition of the debate will be launched on Monday 11th April 2022 and will focus on the price of Steem/SBD.
