Fwl Renitta and Chi Thelma, Trainees of @ecodesigns today receive their Earth Rangers Volunteer Certificates

From Faith and Marvelous-Miguel, then Noela to Frank-Kightley and Kahlan-Amnell, today was the turn for Earth Rangers Fwl Renitta and Chi Thelma who also double as trainees of @ecodesigns to receive their Earth Rangers Summer Holiday Volunteer Certificates and some books and art supplies.

The handing over of the certificates to the Earth Rangers from @ecodesigns took place at 10:00AM at @ecodesigns textile recycling and fashion designing hub in the presence of the Director of Training for Fashion Designing and Textile Recycling, @fonirene and some trainees of @ecodesigns.

Reminiscing their most memorable Earth Rangers activities, both Fwl Renitta and Chi Thelma recounted the tree planting expedition to Atualah Water Catchment in the village of Chomba as their most exciting, rewarding and eco-friendly activity.
As trainees of @ecodesigns, both of them received their volunteer certificates alongside drawing books, colored pencils books and materials that can ease their training at @ecodesigns.

The day was full of soo much smiles and inspiration as both Earth Rangers pledged to continue to improve the lives of people and planet.

Some of the major accomplishments of the Earth Rangers of the Steemit Action Summer Holiday Program (SASH-Program) include;

Planted 1000 trees in the Sacred Forest of Nkwen Palace, Chomba Community Forest and St Dominic Monastery
Organized a plastic drive and collected 2105 Plastic bottles which were later on recycled into tree nursery pots (UPB Tree Pots), umbrella buckets, vertical gardens, etc
Nursed 500 trees
Produced 50 crafts (bracelets) with environmental advocacy messages
Learned about environmental issues and sensitized more than 10,000 people to take environmental protection action

The Greens is a grassroots environmental organization that strives to educate, inspire and engage young people to take action to combat climate change and be at the forefront of biodiversity conservation and waste management.
Founded in 2010, @thegreens have been able to use arts, sports, media and ICT to educate and engage more than 10,000 young people in Green Poetry, Green Music, Green Arts, Green Radio, and Conservation Champions League.
@thegreens have created 04 Community Tree Nurseries, planted more than 200,000 trees and is currently engaged in the Conservation of the Bamenda Highlands Forests.
@thegreens is currently engaged in Waste Management (Waste Business Hub); Plastic Waste Upcycling, Tire Upcycling and Textile Waste Recycling via @ecodesigns
