Why Did the Cows Cross the Road?

in #homesteading8 years ago (edited)

(This is a video!!!)

To get to the other side of course!

We had to move the fall bred ladies on the front farm today. Sometimes that requires crossing the road!!

Fun Times and all moved without fail!!!

We move our cows daily, and there are some long moves we have to make, one nearly 3/4 mile. I made a post last week about moving our cows.... hmmmmm. looks like I made the post and never put it up! Gotta love brainfog.....

We move ours about every 2 days. The grasses still haven't taken off yet. It's such a late spring. Will be looking for yourpost! :)

OH MY GOSH! What a dope video. Your editing was great. I love how he lured the cows with the feeder haha. Nice.

Ooo. Cows as well! At least they are better behaved than goats ;) My goats take themselves into the road. We only had one cow. A real darling named Molly

Cows are our livelihood. They definitely listen better than goats! And don't look for ways to kill themselves....we always joke that goats try to find ways to die. Crazy things!

Do you put something across the road to move them over? Or do you lure them with chocolate :D

For sure chocolate....well I'd move for chocolate. But there's hotwire fence on the roll Bo strung across. It's not hot, but they think it is. He literally just says, "come girls!" And they run towards him. They know his voice and they know they are going to better pasture.

Cool! He's the cow whisperer, lol.

Pretty much...lol

I just now notice its a video and I can watch it! Explains the "putting something across the road better". I thought at first it was just a picture (late night after a long day) LOL.

LOL I should have put that on there! Editing!!

Nice video with rockin sound!
